Well the GM will hand you let's say... 1 of each pot, and a 80% dungeon mount and make you do it right there, but the demands are slightly fast paced.

This would be a solution to try and attack the "monitored" botters.


well... the thing is to spawn it without alarming the bot. If a random spawn pops up its not gonna raise an alarm. but i can c how it would be hard for a gm to get near a bot without setting off alarms.

Uh its not hard for gms to get close to bots. Infact they can simply create new chars if they see that every time they port near xxxxx bot it seems to dc. They do have several gm chars. They can create chars and make them auto 99 with all stats 9999 so even if they do catch agro they wont die. Especially with 9999 vit str and agi. Maybe mage mobs would hit them but the 500k hp they would have.. would make it so they would need to afk for a damn week there before dieing + their regen would probably keep them pretty well at max hp. ;)

Boomfarce can.

Oh, and most bots I've encountered only self DC when I attack them. So the GM can come in with an alt regular account and write down the names, and deal with it from afar so the bot won't know what's coming.

those r just stupid bots... seriously DC when people are near or when get hit is so obvious... Hell at least if u come back 30mins later with people asking you if you bot, u can spam some lame ass excuse that no one would believe anyways.

haha, blurb is so stupid. Also, kudos to everyone who made an alt account to post in here. Your posts have been successfully ignored. :)

As for the "make my food salty" comment, if you spent ANY time doing real programming, you would know that it's basically the same to say make something completely opaque or have a certain translucency value. :roll:

Having a system check for repetitive actions is possibly the worst idea in this thread yet. It's been discussed why.

I'm glad there is some decent discussion in this thread other than blurb's "LOL I STARTED COLLEGE 4 COMPUTERZ SO I PRO" garbage. This was initially meant to get the ball rolling, not to be an end-all hope for destroying bots.

Everyone at some point ends up making a mistake. At which point they get their ass spanked for it learn from it and move on.

However blurb seems to believe that he is ub3r 1337n355 when he is making it blatantly obvious he has begun arguing just to try and make himself seem correct. Which when I have a bachelors degree in Informational Technology, im A+ cert as well as minored in programming. Which im sure if I gave a fuck I could get my certs for c++, PEARL, and VB .net.

Secondly I just dont like writing new programs. Because when something fucks up you need to rip into the code then find that on like 347 you accidentally put a ; instead of a : which made the program go WOAH FUCK!!!!!!!!!

What they are recommending is a server monitor for repetitious actions. Which im sure they actually should have said a anti-bot program that runs in the game. Such as the traps in I think Repellez? Where its just something no1 but a bot would attack it.

But why bother with computers when there are no jobs for them in my area :?:
